Jason Borkland has been photographing his underwater adventures since his diving PADI certification in 2016, and he can’t imagine stopping.
A passionate master diver, he claims diving is a window to a new world of discovery and boundless adventure. It takes you to a new universe, and with time, Jason has realized that it is our responsibility as citizens of the planet to preserve and save not just all that is above the ground, in our sight, but also everything under the deep blue sea.
And how exactly does Jason contribute to that? Through breathtaking underwater photography and videography that is known to send shivers down spines, leaving the audience in awe.
There is no denying the fact the underwater world is beautiful. But that is not the only reason for Jason’s efforts to capture what that world contains. The content creator has been trying to build a positive change in the current marine environment through individual awareness and education. His work with Humpback Whales, Mantas, Hammerheads, and sharks is used to tell stories and frame the audience’s perspective, stirring a sense of responsibility and urgency in them to preserve these wonderful creatures. Aside from that, the scientific community uses his imagery and technical diving skills for documentation and research purposes.
