Set your realistic behavior goals:

To achieve something, you ought to start somewhere. Rui believes that you must set achievable goals regarding your health and fitness. If you think that sometimes those goals are too much for you and you are finding it hard to balance your work and your health, then you need to break your objectives into smaller goals and keep doing it. You need to keep doing it to the point where you can finally achieve your goals without stressing yourself.

Maintain a nutritious diet:

According to Rui, so many people often underestimate the impact of their food choices. By increasing your awareness of the benefits of the choices you make in selecting your diet, you can improve your energy, resilience, brain performance, and health. He suggests that you must eat a small balanced diet, as this will prevent a spike in your blood glucose levels.

Rui says that one must select food that stabilizes blood glucose levels, like, pumpkin, beans, and meat. Furthermore, you must reduce your alcohol intake, particularly before bedtime, and drink enough water throughout the day, as that will help you stay hydrated.

Quality sleep:

At Balanced Rebel, your sleep quality is taken very seriously. According to Rui, sleep is the rockstar of recovery and he believes that your day starts the moment you go to bed to sleep. Getting enough quality and quantity of sleep is near the top of the list for athletes and Rui thinks we are all athletes. Our current lifestyle requires the ability to process information very quickly and react.

We also need to have high levels of focus, motivation, and adequate sleep. Following a good sleeping pattern can help you dodge many illnesses like obesity, dementia, and stroke. Good sleep improves your brain activity, mood, and health.

Increase your energy:

Humans aren’t meant to operate like computers at high speed for long hours continuously. Rui shares that humans are designed to renew and replenish their energy levels daily. He teaches his followers that it is fine to struggle with energy issues and cope with them accordingly. You work from morning to night, running on a little bit of grit and caffeine, but it doesn’t have to be that way! There are a lot of sources to revitalize your body with energy like food, sleep, recovery, exercise, and your lifestyle. You must identify your sources of energy and the sources that deplete your energy.

Everybody knows that a balanced diet together with physical exercise contributes to our body’s good health. We all know that we need to sleep in order to restore our energy. But what most people seem to forget is that our physical health influences our everyday thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The hectic pace of our demanding lives together with long working hours usually jeopardizes our eating choices, and our time to move, sleep and socialize.
