Success is undoubtedly a great feeling, but failure is even better. Failure provides us with the opportunity to learn things better, reconsider our efforts and develop better strategies for the future. Failure allows us to gain more experience and knowledge, which broadens our growth opportunities. Every successful man has stories of his failures, backing up his success. Story of Valentin Bărbulescu is no different. He made mistakes, he learned, he transformed, and today, he is a successful business coach for mentoring business coaches and consultants.
The journey of Valentin Bărbulescu starts from the countryside of Romania, where he was born to a poor family. His family faced financial hardships, and his parents worked very hard to keep the household running. They didn’t have extra money to send Valentin to school, so his grandmother used her retirement funds for the purpose. Since Valentin wanted to be a priest, he went to a theological school.
Valentin soon realized that he is more interested in developing his character and personality as someone who is a fantastic life partner. He chose to study psychology to understand the seduction and dynamics of social behavior and became a certified coach after finishing his education. Valentin’s first business was as a dating coach, where he used his learnings and experience to transform the lives of a whole community of 100,000 people. He helped people improve their behaviors and relationship dynamics with transformation processes.
Valentin made many mistakes in his dating business. He was choosing lower prices for clients, signing up unqualified clients, having low-quality clients results, and ultimately no outcomes from his business. He was burning out while managing this business, so after five years as a dating coach, he decided to shift to his current business, as a business coach for coaches. The decision to make this business transition wasn’t easy at all. Valentin lost all his friends, his business partner, and all of his confidence in no time.
He worked hard to mentor the business coaches and consultants to become better coaches and yield good results from their clients. He knew what mistakes he made, and through his coaching, he enabled the business coaches to avoid the same mistakes. Valentin started the new business to change the dynamics of the entire coaching industry in Romania. The coaching setup also faced some ups and downs initially. But he did not give up, and with his determination, he stabilized the business, made €50000 in 5 months, and helped his clients to generate around €100,000, so far. For Valentin, failure simply indicates something to be learned or a different path to consider.
